Geri Binks, the owner and designer for Magpie Enterprise, is firmly committed to creating each purse or handbag with artistic integrity:

Geri has made hundreds of fabric objects since getting her own sewing machine at the age of 9. She has always had a propensity to collect things that make her eyes sparkle, with a particular fondness for hand worked lace. With a mother trained in millinery, she grew up in a kaleidoscope of feathers, felt, beads, braid, buttons and bows.
“As a multimedia artist, over the course of 20 years my studio practice has embraced a rich variety of material use. In recent years, I’ve begun to realize that one of my strengths, as an artist is the manipulation of found objects. It is this collage approach that stimulates the design of the handbags.”
