Sloping Pine Woodworking

About me
Sloping Pine Woodworking – Ron Ferris
Since my retirement in 2009, I have spent more time at one of my favourite hobbies, woodworking. I started out making Muskoka chairs for family and friends and that led to people commissioning chairs of their own. I like to take on custom projects, which meet a person’s specific needs. After the 2014 tornado, which brought down over 30 trees on our lot, I arranged for a portable sawmill to come to our lot and cut up the oak. I ended up with over 5000 board feet of oak lumber, which I use in my furniture making. My work ranges from charcuterie and cutting boards to serving trays and furniture, both indoor and outdoor.
